The monster truck races have invaded Dreamcast. Midway's brand new game titled 4 Wheel Thunder offers the best of Monster truck rallys and off road racing. This game is an arcade style racer and is far from a simulator.
Trucks must catch turbo power ups to boost increase their speed to win. With out the power ups its almost impossible to win.
4 Wheel offers monster trucks and dune buggies to choose from. Graphically 4 Wheel is at the top of its game. Midway has turned up the level of speed for this game while totally eliminating all pop-up as well. This is the kind of racer we all knew Dreamcast could make.
4 Wheel Thunder lives up to its name by providing pulse pounding sound. Loud engines and music do not disappoint.
4 Wheel has styled the control perfectly for the Dreamcast controller. If frustration occurs it shouldn't be from the control. The cheating computer opponents, now that's a different story.
4 Wheel Thunders only major problem is that it relies too much on the power ups to win. The game does provide enough of them to keep your truck going long enough to pass the eight competing players.
Be prepared to play a level many, many times before moving forward. Midway has produced the best monster truck game to date. This game will appeal to monster truck fans and racing fans alike.
