ATV Racing is not the most popular game genre out there. Acclaim was the first with a PSone title called ATV Power Quad Racing.
It was a decent game, a year later Sony had there own titled ATV Off Road Fury.
No offense to Acclaim, but it was a much better game. Well, obviously. It was the Playstation 2, but it wasn't just that.
Graphics aside. The game play was faster and more fun. However, the camera angles never felt right to me.
It was always from behind, and a great distance behind too. Maybe it was just me, cause it went on to a top seller and spawned a sequel.
Which I'm here to tell you all about right now! What a coincidence, huh?

ATV Off-Road Fury 2 suffers from the same problems the first one did. Which is the lack of multiple camera angles.
Or I should say closer camera angles. However, it does offer new tracks, and online play.
Yes, ATV is now on-line. Which in this writers opinion is the only reason they made this sequel.
Think about it. When a system first goes live on-line, the first few titles are simple ones.
Dreamcast's Chu Chu Rocket is a prime example. PS2's Twisted Metal Black: On-line.
Same game with added on-line capabilities. Basically the same can be said for ATV ORF 2. However, this case they did genuinely make sequel plus add on-line play.

ATV Off Road Fury 2 is a good game. You can still play single or multiplayer without going on-line. (whew) Perform stunts while catching some major air.
If you're a fan of the extreme sport game. Whether it be snow mobiles, Dirt Bikes, Jet Ski's or ATV's. ATV Off Road Fury 2 will be liked.
If you're one of the many who made the original a classic, then you will definitely be playing the sequel.
Just don't expect any major changes to the game, or game play.
There is nothing new here. Unless you enjoy the on-line part.
In which you will love this game until the disc cracks in two.
The On-line play is fun, how can it not be. Playing against anyone in the world?
You never know just who will show up. A nice idea, but in my humble opinion online play is fleeting. I'm not saying Internet games are a passing phase.
I just feel it's a brand new toy on Christmas that is old by new years.
