ATV OFFROAD FURY

Alert the media! The sky is falling, Hell has frozen over, the World is coming to an end. Sony has made a GOOD game for the PlayStation 2. I knew they had it in them. Sony's ATV Off-Road Fury is nothing less then awesome. This game rocks.
ATV features graphics that actually look like PlayStation 2 graphics. Imagine that. And ATV offers high resolution graphics and fast game play.

The concept is simple. Race four wheeled ATV's off road and win. Along the way though, you may perform extreme stunts and extreme jumps. ATV Off-Road Fury never really gets in close on the characters. The camera keeps a safe distance, which works for this game. It allows you to see the road more clearly and allows you to run off course as well. ATV doesn't limit you to the set course. Sure, if you stray away too much, you'll lose. But a short cut here and there won't hurt anybody. Not to mention in Freestyle mode you can go anywhere.

The detail is truly remarkable. Shadowing is perfect, Earthly effects are realistic. Such as dust, dirt, snow, and gravity. ATV keeps it all real without losing any of the fun factor.
Like most extreme sport racing games ATV offers a rockin' sound track. Featuring Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Primus, Sevendust, and Anthrax.
ATV OFF-Road Fury offers real ATV models from such name brands as Honda and Polaris. Race in the Cross Country Enduro, Maxxis Grand Nationals, Freestyle, and Supercross.
ATV offers excellent control. ATV takes full advantage of the Dual Analog controller. The physics are real in this game, so you will flip over many times. However, the control is easy enough and tight enough to handle these unruly roads.

Sony has done everything right with this title. They even put it on DVD to pack in that much more game. Okay, I dunno if that's why, or even if that makes it better at this point. But it is cool.
ATV Off Road Fury is the first major title from the first party of the PlayStation 2. Technically, the only other title available from Sony is Fantavision. We can blame Sony's problems with their sport titles on 989 Sports. ATV is a real gamers' game. I tip my hat to Sony on this one. With more quality titles like this one, we can look forward to a lengthily relationship with our PlayStation 2's.
