If you wish to enjoy fishing all year round, but don't want to join the Eskimo club, Perhaps Playstation fishing is for you. However, if you feel you can't enjoy fishing games due the lack of realism in the controller your problem is solved. Agetec, one of the most innovative peripheral designers for the Playstation has come up with the first Fishing rod simulator controller.
It features a rod shaped controller with all the buttons normally found on a Playstation controller plus a working reel on the side. Dual shock and analog compatible this awesome controller lets you feel when you have a bite. The fishing rod controller allows anglers to cast by physically performing the motion with the controller. Its truly amazing, you have to experience it. Agetec has packaged this controller exclusively with their new fishing game for the Playstation Bass Landing.
Unfortunately Bass Landing is far less impressive then its mighty controller. Bass Landing features poor graphics and even worse gameplay. One of the few fishing games you will ever see which does NOT give you an ocean floor view. True, having the game seen through the eyes of the fisherman may be more realistic, but it only provides for a long and uneventful gameplaying experience.
The graphics we do see are washed out, and lacks the color selection most kids have out of a box of eight count crayons.
The sound is not even worth mentioning. Forgettable video game mumbo jumbo, however it is very soothing.

The best part of Bass Landing is its awesome breakthrough controller. Since this game debuted, copy cats have come out with their own fishing rod controllers for others platforms. This is the only fishing rod for the Playstation. The game may not be worth much, but the controller is. It works for all Playstation fishing games that are analog compatible.
If your a virtual angler Bass Landing is a must have, not so much for the game itself, but its revolutionary controller. You will never look at fishing games the same way again. OVERALL: 3
