by Jay "THE FLEA" Wade

Finally! An A1 Game worth checking out. Yes it has happened, Call the neighbors and notify the media. A1 Games has made a worth while game.
The game is Battle Hunter, while the game is a simple strategy RPG. It is addicting and worthy the ten bucks you spent on it.
You start by creating a Hunter, who takes on jobs for money to upgrade him/her self.
You take a job and enter a dungeon and challenge others hunters for the target prize hidden in the dungeon.

The levels are mazes with checker squares, you roll a die to see how many spaces you can take. With every turn you’ll collect a card, which can give the hunter extra points in movement, attack, defense or set traps for other hunters. If another hunter gets the key item you can attack him/her and try and take the prize for your self then exit the level and claim your reward.
other levels require you to hunt down a person, or track down and battle a thief.

You can find other items and for a fee (which can be outrageous at times) find out what the item is.
Some items can be vary helpful. Other are worthless and you can sell them for a few bucks.
There are also monsters in the dungeons, most just get in your way. You kill them or ignore them.
If you use up all the cards, a killer panther will enter the dungeon and can wreak havoc on anyone in its way. If this creature shows up its better to run then fight it.

Up to four players can play at once. You and your friends can fight it out in a game of who can get the item first. Then battle each other for it.
Don’t expect any kind of story in Battle Hunter, just a simple Hunt, battle and level-up game. The graphics are vary simple, Don’t expect top of the line graphics. More like a old style 16-bit RPG.
The Dungeons are just a floor plan maze with a black background.
Sound, what sound? There’s a few simple tunes and that’s it. Control is simple, but a few of the menus could have been more user friendly.
If you’re a fan of games such as Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, or Vandal Hearts. Battle Hunter will be worth the ten dollar price tag. Just don’t expect a story, just simple gameplay.
