Castlevania returns to the Nintendo, going back to the original title "Castlevania". Is this the best Castlevania? No, maybe a 3rd or 4th. Basically this one plays like a 3D version of Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse for the NES. Level based, multiple characters to play (well 2 anyway) with multi endings and bosses larger then life. You can play as Rienhardt Schneider (a classic Belmont vampire hunter) or as Carrie Fernandez (a young girl with magic powers) out to destroy the evil Dracula (Again?!) just like in every other Castlevania. The graphics look vary well but can be a little faded. Some of the levels look spectacular, While others are vary dull. When playing Rienhardt is not to bad, but when playing Carrie "ugh" I fell like throwing the controller though the screen a few times. The action can fell at times VARY repetitive. This game does offer a good challenge and replay due to the multi endings and 2 characters. The bosses in this game are a look if nothing else, they are mostly huge a done fairly well. In end this blood sucker is worth at least renting.
