Simulator games from Sim City to Theme Park/Hospital, so I had to try Civilization 2 out for the PSX. This game is a Long game to play. so you'll get tons of gaming hours from this one.
The game is like this, you start out with a tribe who basically know nothing. and over days, months and years your tribe learns new things from the alphabet to making a nuclear bomb. Make your tribe build new cities and create real land marks and buildings in your cities. Explore and find new discoveries. Find other Tribes that are allies and enemies. Start wars and take over rival cities.
Build war machines from the early Chariots, catapults, Cannons to Modern tanks, battleships and stealth bombers. Train Knights, Archers, Marines and even spies to spy on other tribes and steal their knowledge. But be careful, you can wipe out other tribes but they could destroy you first.
Sometimes allied tribes will turn on you and destroy all you built from technology you traded with them. You also have to worry about keeping the people in your cities happy are they will revolt and you lose them, but if you keep them happy they will build you a awesome throne room.
One of my complaints about this game is that it takes up 10 blocks of memory to play this game. Which means if you buy this game, buy a memory card. Civilization 2 is a must try for any simulator strategy fan.
