"A hundred terrorists have taken over a train, your the only one left alive and there's a nuclear bomb on board. WHAT DO YOU DO???"
That's the basic plot to Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn. A game that sounds a lot like a certain action movie with Steven Seagal.
You play as Jack Morton an Air Force Lieutenant who was missed by the terrorists.
"yippie-ki-yay Cowboy" He must save the ambassador and his family, take out the terrorists and stop the train before it gets to France with a nuclear bomb. (all in a days work right?)
The game runs on a clock, you must finish the game before it reaches France.
The gameplay is exactly like Resident Evil. Find items, solve puzzles blow away bad guys.
The graphics are done well, but the FMV could have been a lot better. But it's not the worst ever seen. The control is CO:ND's biggest flaw, with horrible camera angles that leaves are hero eating lead as you move in so you can see your target. And the targeting system is really a pain.
You must aim the gun and wait for a target to kill the terrorists.
There should have been a auto target option at least. And if you thought the lack of ammo found in Resident Evil was bad, you haven't tried this game yet. (and you won't have a knife)
It won't be to much of a problem due to the terrorist are not the smartest bunch. You duck and they can't find you or shoot above you and you can be standing right in front of them.
(I think the Zombies where smarter in RE2 and their dead. What's these guys excuse?)
The puzzles are fairly easy but do make the mind think. (with the exception of the lining up two speeding trains before the one your on goes of a cliff will take a few tries)

For a train that only has fourteen cars and a engine, it's surprising how much exploration there is in this game. NO:ND has multiple endings that is based on decisions made in the game.
This game is a fun action survival game and would be worth checking out. Especially if you love Resident Evil, Syphon Filter and Action movies.OVERALL: 8
