CRAZY TAXI

by Wyatt "JOEDOG" Elliott

Its a well known fact you take your life into your hands anytime you get into a New York taxi cab. It was probably after a near death experience in one of these cabs that a Sega producer thought, "This would make for a great gaming experience!"
Give it a San Francisco setting, and we have Crazy Taxi. A Sega Arcade which now makes its debut on Dreamcast.

The premise is simple. Your a cabbie taking willing passengers to their destination AS FAST AS YOU CAN. The quicker the cab ride the more money you make. Each customer has a different time limit and attitude.

Crazy Taxi's city is huge. Lots of different destinations and locals. However, this taxi only travels through two different levels. Arcade, and Original.
The graphics are great. Full of bright colors and fast frame rates. However, for a Dreamcast game, Crazy Taxi is chalk full of unpopular pop-up, but with all the crazy fun you'll be having playing this game, you'll never even notice it. This taxi comes with some crazy sound. A funky hip hop host combined with a rock'n tune to keep you pumped. After a while of play, you may wish for more of a selection of music than the one tune provided.

Crazy Taxi features simple and easy control. Though no fault to the game itself the Sega Dreamcast's controller set up is a real pain to your fingers.
So what could be hours of play end in a few minutes.
Crazy Taxi is not a complex game. There's no levels to beat, no one to compete against, but father time. Crazy Taxi is the perfect pick up and play game. If you don't have a lot of time or don't feel like something deep, Crazy Taxi will provide great entertainment without any stress. So put your brain on hold, and forget everything you know physics and the real world, and let Crazy Taxi show you the way to pure gaming bliss.
