Start your engine and prepare to begin the race. Hold on, in this race coming in first doesn't mean JACK. You have to rack up points to win this race. How you ask? By destroying your opponent. This is Demolition Racer, a new racer from the creators of Test Drive for Playstation and PC.
The last time we saw a racing game as explosive as this one, was Destruction Derby 2. DD2 was and still is a great game. Light years ahead of its time, high-res graphics combined with explosively fast game play. A true classic. Destruction Derby 2 is garbage compared to Demolition Racer. Demolition Racer is the kind of game that gives the Sony Playstation staying power. This game will have you asking "What's a Dreamcast, and why do I want one?"
Demolition Racer features super fast high-res graphics with gut wrenching crashes. The most destruction allowed by law. So many options to choose from. Play standard demolition derby, demolition racing, Stock car, suicide, or last man standing...Or car driving as the case may be.
This game is so incredibly detailed. When the hood flies off your car, you can see a very detailed engine inside. When cars are damaged you can see the tires wobbling, bumpers bent, and front and rear side lights go out. Some of the most impressing graphics you have ever seen this year. Great lighting effects and little pop up make this game a masterpiece.
Music is provided by some of the hottest bands including Fear Factory, Cirrus, Junkie XL and more. The engine sound effects are the only real disappointment. Muffled sounding engines really don't do these muscle cars justice. Demolition Racer can almost be categorized as an action game. When these cars collide, watch them spin, smoke, and burst into flames. Demolition Racer has so much replay value, if your a racing fan at all you won't regret investing one red cent into this game. By pass renting, this is a direct purchase.
