EVIL ZONE

by Jay "THE FLEA" Wade

I've played a lot of fighting games in my times, but I've never found one like this one.
The opening before every fight in story modes, is well interesting. its like a bad soap opera. They talk like these fights are a TV show in the making.
The dialog is laughable, not because it's funny but on how bad it really is.

You get to play interesting characters; Setsuna (A school girl with a sword and multiple personalty problem) Linedwell (A pervert) Erel (A love stricken Mercenary) Gally (The Bounty Hunter) Keiya (A FF7 Turk Wannabe) Midori (A high Strung Tomboy) Danzaiver (A VR Trooper Look alike) Al (A young wizard) and Kakurine (A ten thousand year old ten year old)

The Graphics arn't too bad, but average for the most part. The control is VARY simple (there's only two buttons to press when fighting) Although it is also stiff and hard to control. Combos are hard to perform and the specials are the only way to really fight.

The backgrounds are bland and have little detail. (like most polygon fighters) There are several secrets to Unlock but it's like most fighting games. Boss, Gallery, Sound test, etc. I even found out they changed Erel's costume for the US version. (Lets just say she was a little too cheeky.)
Overall this game is a renter at best. play it, laugh at it then return it and be glad you saved forty dollars.
