MADDEN NFL 2000

10 years ago a football revolution was born from a true NFL legend himself. John Madden Football was just another football game from a fairly new company Electronic Arts. Year after year Madden kept cranking them out. He had games on multiple platforms. No matter how technology changes Madden has adapted. Now Madden enters the next millennium with Madden NFL 2000 for Playstation and Nintendo 64.

Madden games doesn't always improve each year, but this year it most definitely has. Madden NFL 2000 enters the high resolution age. The N64 version is now compatible with the 4MB ram expansion pack for even higher quality graphics. This year Madden's players are more realistic, however close ups still need a little work.

The control is pure Madden, and EA Sports has added a ton of new features. Earn secrets and test your NFL knowledge with the Madden Challenge. The all Madden team is back. and both old and new teams are in the game for those of you who wish for the 85 Bears again. Madden 2000 offers tips while you play the game for those new comers to football or a Madden game. You veterans will want to turn this feature off, it gets quite annoying and disturbs your game play.

Madden's sound quality is still better on the Playstation. Madden himself has more sound bytes and is crystal clear. However, the players yell trash talk which can hardly be heard on either system.

Madden NFL 2000 is a great game. The classic Madden announcer and Madden himself bring a nice presentation to the game. Madden NFL 2000 is good on both systems this year. N64 owners particularly will find Madden 2000 to be the best football action around. Madden NFL has been around for a long time, and will be for sometime to come. Happy 10th Anniversary Madden!
