The most anticipated game has been released, does live up to all the hype? Is it worth your gaming bucks? The answer to both is a big YES! The minute I put this game in my Playstation I was hooked on this game. This is defiantly one of my picks for game of the year. The game work like this, you an alone soldier (Solid Snake) infiltrating a terrorist's base and use only what you find along the way. But in this game the object is not to blow-up and kill every thing in sight. But to hide and sneak your way through enemies base with out being seen. (not an easy task) But you can kill the one's in your way, by breaking necks, shooting enemies from a pistol with a silencer or snipering them from a far distance. (I love to hide and start picking off the terrorists) The graphics look great, a dark and japan animation look. And all the little details really make this game look amazing, from Snake's breath in the cold, to the foot prints you leave behind that can attract the guards. The story that has more twists and turns you wont know where this game is taking you. Plus multiple endings that changes the whole story. The game play is pretty simple but the bosses are the toughest challenge. Most of the game you sneak along walls, hide under tanks and look for the right time to run when to cost is clear. Plus discovering the tons of weapons, items and secrets in your mission. The voice acting in this game is believable, unlike Resident Evil's B-movie acting. most games are just text you read, this game has voice acting in almost every story text in the game. Another great future in this game is the interactive you feel in this game, the characters in the game sometime acknowledge you the game player, anybody who has played this game knows what I'm talking about. From reading your mind from previous saved games to making the controller move on it's own power. Other features are a training mode, a gun shooting mode (blowing the bad guys away as fast as possible) and save photos of things you find in the game. (you might even find a ghost or two) This game is a must to buy, or at least rent. Metal Gear Solid is one to go down in history as one of the best, along with Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil 2 and Parasite Eve.
