MTV may have started out as a small cable music video channel, but these days MTV has its hands in everything. Movies, Television, and now video games. MTV Sports and THQ have teamed up to bring us the next level in extreme sports titles for the Sony Playstation. First up is MTV Snowboarding. Yes another snow boarding title, but this one is pretty good.
The graphics are sharp. Characters are not the largest in the business, but nice detail. The vast courses allow you to go anywhere. These boarders can follow the course or turn off to catch some extra air time.
MTV has done more than just lend their name. This Snow boarding game has something Cool Boarders will never have. Good music rockin' in the back ground. Including jammin' tunes from bands who have become standard in video game fare. Blink 182, Ministry, and Fear Factory, and a whole lot more. Its a better line up than most FM Radio stations.
MTV Snowboarding does not allow for slackers. You will practice, you will perform, you will qualify. This makes you a better boarder once out in the world and down the slopes. MTV's control is nice and loose. Good control over tricks and stunts makes this a fun replay. Okay, your thinking this all sounds great, but what's original here? MTV has added a exclusive "Create-A-Park" feature. This tool allows you to design and style your own don hill slopes. Add as many obstacles as you desire. Big jumps or no jumps its all in your control. The downsize to this feature, is time. Its very time consuming to set up a custom slope such a short span of entertainment.
MTV Sports Snowboarding is an entertaining romp through the snow with a special MTV seal of approval.
