One of the hottest titles on PS2 returns, It’s Onimusha 2 for the Playstation 2.
In the game you play now as Jubei Yagyu, He returns home to his village to find that its been destroyed by Nobunaga’s Army of Demons.
He vows to kill Nobunaga, but another demon shows he has the power to engulf souls of the demons, so Jubei is off the kill the demons.
He meets four warriors on the way Jubei must bribe them to help him.
That’s the basic story line for Onimusha 2.

The gameplay is basically the same as it was in the first Onimusha. Slice and dice demons, steal their souls for upgrades and solve puzzles.
New to Onimusha 2 is now you have to give gifts to the other warriors and which ever one likes you best will help you by fighting demons with you. And each warrior likes different things.
Good gifts will get you good items, and bad ones you mostly get more gift items.
You even have to collect gold to buy gifts.

Also new is similar to what the X-Box Onimusha added, where there are berserk souls.
Collect enough of these and you’ll be invincible for a few seconds.
Other then that there’s new weapons, demons, and secrets to uncover.

The graphics are a step above Onimusha 1, and the control is basically the same.
The sound and music is all real voice acted, and not to shabby I might add.
There’s a few overacting moments, but not enough to make you cringe.
This game is a must own for any one who loved Onimusha, Devil May Cry or Resident Evil.
