RACING

by Wyatt "JOEDOG" Elliott

It was bound to happen. Sony drops the licensing fee to produce games on the PlayStation and more companies would produce budget games. Which is great. For ten bucks, how bad can a game really be?

A1 Games is producing a line of what I like to call Generic games, because they feature such generic titles as Snowboarding, Bowling, and the one I'm writing about here Racing. Yep, that's it. Racing.
This game is so unoriginal, I guess it didn't deserve an original title. Its basically a stock car racing game. The games graphics excellent and highly detailed. . . for the days of the Original NES!

These graphics are pathetic. I think it features an awesome four colors on the screen at one time. Pathetically slow speeds combined with boring tracks. This game has nothing good to offer.
The sounds are not even worth mentioning. I've heard better noises come out of blender.

If A1 Games wishes to release a line of so called generic game titles, I applaud it and will buy them. However, if they want to have a successful line and not just one time suckers, they're going to have to start making better games. A1 has got to understand that there are actual good games available for $19.99 that are pure gems. I understand that the game is only ten dollars, but this crap isn't even worth five dollars. FuncoLand sells games of this quality on the NES for like a dollar. This one is only worth the money if you just want to have it for your PlayStation collection as I did. Or if you're a glutton for punishment.
