RAZOR FREESTYLE SCOOTER

by Wyatt "JOEDOG" Elliott

Razor scooters' were all the rage this past holiday season, so it's no surprise that someone would make a game out of it. The fact that they had it available for the holidays was. Crave's Razor Freestyle Scooter had to be slapped together with a moment notice. Knowing this, there is no way this game could possibly be good. I was anticipating a weak Tony Hawk clone with Razor Scooter's. However, they couldn't even do that right. Razor Freestyle Scooter is an adventure game. They wrote a stupid story to with the tricks.

You start out playing as one of two kids, a boy and a girl, who must skate and perform tricks while collecting scooter wheels to save their friends from an evil robot. Makes sense, right? Once you save a characters from this evil robot you open new kids to play.

The game plays just like Tony Hawk. That' s where the comparisons must stop. Graphically this game is puke. My vomit has better images than this game.
The kids look like a cross between Anime and a Cabbage Patch Doll. The polygons are choppy and full of holes. The sound sad, but the music is okay. The tunes are alternative rock like found in most extreme sport games. I don't know who's singing these medleys' but it sounds like Weird Al Yankovic. Which would be only fitting, seeing that this game is such a joke.

The control is straight out of Tony Hawk. If you can play that than you can play this game. However, if you've played Tony Hawk I don't know why you'd ever want to waste your time on this game.
Razor Freestyle Scooter feels like it was duct taped together. With the Razor Scooter's being so popular this holiday season it was unavoidable we'd have a game based on it. To have it available for the holidays, is an achievement in itself, but at what cost? To answer my own question, $19.99 at most retail stores.
