The biggest video game horror returns in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. This RE story takes place just after RE1 but before, during and after RE2. (are you following this?) You play as Jill Valentine who returns to Raccoon city and finds the Virus has spread to the city. The city turns to chaos. After the city police are killed, Umbrella sends several Mercenaries to clean up their mess. (or so that's what they think) Jill is also being hunted down a tyrant like creature called Nemesis. Who is killing S.T.A.R.S. members and any one else in his way. Jill finds a few Merc's who survived the massacre and the group struggle to find a way out of the city.
In this RE you only play as Jill and you'll play Carlos in one part. This is a little disappointing but not a big deal. The graphics are really awesome. The backgrounds are done with the highest detail. and the zombies and creatures are done better then ever. And the never ending Nemesis (in his many forms) hunting you down is a real challenge. Also new is a live action selection that will change the story depending on the choice you make. The effects and sound are better then ever. You'll hear the city is total chaos in the background to whole buildings exploding.
Jill will discover all the classic weapons to destroy those nasty zombies and also a new one called a mine launcher. There's also a new way to find ammo. You can find gun power and combine different kinds to create the ammo you need.
The control is the same as all RE's but added are a quick turn, dodge and tackles. There's even a secret Merc's game once you beat the game. (like the EX mode in RE2) Overall this is the best Resident Evil on the PSX. and is a must own for all RE fans. Also included with RE3 is a demo of Dino Crisis.
