SONIC ADVENTURE 2

by Jay "THE FLEA" Wade

The Dreamcast may be slowly fading away, but Sega is still releasing its final titles before the DC goes down for the count. One of the final games is Sonic Adventure 2.
The story is pretty cut and dry, Dr Eggman frames Sonic with a new black hedgehog named Shadow.
The government is hunting down Sonic, and sonic and his friend must clear his name. And stop Dr Eggman from destroying the world along the way.

The gameplay is pretty much the same as the first Sonic Adventure. With wild fast levels where you play as one of three heroes, or one of three villains. You can choose the heroes or the villains and play from their perspectives of the story.
The graphics are beautiful, the levels are huge and wild. They are a blast to run through. Levels consist of three kinds. Hedgehog run, Hunt & find, and Mech Shooters.

In Hedgehog run you’ll play as Sonic or Shadow and run a level as fast as you can , collecting rings, animals and items on the way.
Hunt & Find you play as Knuckles or a Bat Girl and search for hidden gems pieces in the level.
And Mech Shooters you play as Tails or Dr, Eggman in a Mech shooting any thing in your way.
There’s also many secrets to be discovered in Sonic Adventure 2, Many levels you’ll need to replay over again once you discover a new power-up.

While Sonic Adventure 2 is a fun game, the story that plays along with it is really silly.
The dialog is some of the worst voice acting you’ll ever hear, and or course the lip sync is badly dubbed.
Just ignore that and you’ll have fun in Sonic Adventure 2. If you loved the first Sonic Adventure, part 2 will not disappoint you.
