All your Street Fighter favorites return in Street Fighter Alpha 3, and I really do mean that. because all the past characters from previous 2D SF games are in this game. plus about 5 new characters. Two Cammy like characters, a prep school girl, an escaped prisoner and a female pro wrestler. (No not Sable) I almost feel this is Street Fighter Saga not Alpha 3, about 30+ characters all together.
Updated (besides characters) are new moves, bigger badder sound and graphics. New and classic fighting arenas, and a couple new modes. Capcom has had problems with 2D arcade translations many times, having to cut many frames, background action and sometimes slowing down the action due to the Playstation's low RAM. But SFA3 is almost perfect. There are some frames cut but it still holds up to the arcade pretty well. The control is like all Street Fighters, a real thumb sprainer. But this isn't bad, just during the action your thumbs are in constant movement and your thumbs ache after a while. Still has all the regular, specials, combos and super combo's that most Street Fighters have, but new is each character has three fighting styles.
This Street Fighter has a real Upbeat sound track, with tunes that really get your heart into the action. If you love 2D fighting games this one is a must have, Defiantly the best Street Fighter in a long time.
