Bandai has produced yet another excellent Playstation game. This time around Its an action adventure called Silent Bomber.
Silent Bomber is an Anime style action game with a pinch of Bomberman. You play as Jutah (pronounced like the state of Utah) a special agent part of a futuristic military. After obeying orders all his career, Jutah has become rather cold blooded. Nothing bothers him anymore. He will follow orders no matter how harsh they may be.
This makes him the perfect weapon.
The game is your basic action shooter in the 3rd person view, but with a twist. You plant bombs under your enemy instead of shooting them. Plant a bomb and run, plant a bomb and run. It may sound pain stakingly dull, but this game is a rocket roller coaster ride.
Great graphics never look dull, and the camera follows Jutah around without ever loosing him.
Sound effects are down right explosive. Sure its mostly sounds of fire and destruction, but beautiful love story. This is Silent Bomber.
The acting is about as Oscar worthy as a dubbed Jackie Chan movie, but better than Resident Evil.
The control is right on. Featuring excellent Dual Shock controller benefits. No frustrating control problems here, there's plenty of that to go around in other games.
Silent Bomber is not your run of mill heavily promoted action title. You may have to look for this one, but its well worth it. Silent Bomber is original and more fun than a bottle rocket strapped to a G.I. Joe.
