With the TONS of snowboarding games coming out, the finally came out with a skate boarding game. And sad to say not a vary good one. When I first heard of Street Sk8er I thought "Wow this game will be cool." I thought for sure it was going to be a racing and trick game! It was going to be like Cool Boarders 3 but on skate boards instead of snow boards, But all this game has got is tricks, and that about it. The whole game is this; You choose one of 4 characters and skate one of 3 tracks or 3 bonus areas. Race against time and do as many tricks as you can. THAT'S IT??? Yup, You cant even race against another player or CPU player. It's one at a time and who ever has the most trick points. And the tricks are so easy a little kid of 4 can pull them off. I had all the tricks figured out after about 1 hour. It has some good points. After beating the tracks you earn secret characters, alternate paths and stat points to upgrade the characters. The Music is about the best feature in this game. With real bands like, Less then Jake, Plastilina Mosh, Weston, H20, All, Straight Face, The Pietasters, I Against I & Gas Huffer. Great bands? Not really, but good for enough for a video game. Overall this game is a renter. It's fun for a couple hours, but the novelty wears out real fast.
