What could be better than speeding through busy city streets on a crotch rocket
narrowing beating death at every turn?
Crashing at 120MPH into oncoming traffic of course.
Unfortunately that's a thrill you can only do once, and you won't be around to remember it.
So, Acclaim has finally captured that thrill almost perfectly in their new Xbox game Speed Kings.
Speed Kings is like Road Rash on crack. I kid you not.
You race Super bikes at super speeds through the busiest of city streets.
All along performing tricks such as bike surfing,
and side riding. Remember Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 2? Oh, heck yeah!
As in Road Rash, you can attempt to knock your opponents off their bike if they get too close.
Its not nice, but a heck of a lot of fun.
Speed Kings doesn't allow you to race dangerously,
it encourages it. You gain rewards for speed, violence, and stunts.
Graphically Speed kings holds up.
Maybe you might find sharper graphics in a simulator, and you know what? Let them have it.
This game is not about that. Much like Acclaims other super thirll ride Burnout 2,
Speed Kings is about smashing things.
And looking good doing it. This game had me up and out of my seat cheering.
The levels are so dangerously designed,
you have to slide your bike on its side under truck trailers and other obstacles.
It is the most thrilling, bone chilling experience I've ever had in a racing game.
Speed Kings offers a practice mode to get you started. In most games, I enjoy skipping this lame feature.
I highly suggest you do it in this game. It may very well save your video game life.
Speaking of which..Did I mention the crashes are spectacular? Oh, I didn't? Well, they are spectacular.
You will shout out loud when you get hit. I'm talking Burnout 2 good. If you haven't played Burnout 2, do it now.
Acclaim just released it on Xbox, so grab a copy of it when you bring home Speed Kings.
You will not find two better racing games offering this much action.
I hope you give Speed Kings a chance. It doesn't seem to be getting a ton of publicity.
So please go out of your way to find this game.
It is awesome. It is also available on Gamecube and Playstation 2.
So there's a speed King for you no matter which console you own.
Speed Kings is guaranteed to provide, if nothing else, a few hours of entertainment.
And hey, that's a lot more than most Summer movies can say.
