The PlayStation 2 has been available in stores for about four months now, and SSX is still the best game. SSX is not only the best game for the PS2, but the best snow boarding game ever. This is a major feat considering the vast selection of snow boarding games crossing all platforms. SSX has done something no other snow boarder has done. Revitalized the genre.

SSX is fast and furious. You have never ridden the slopes like this.
When these characters catch some major air, you will feel their impact when they land. Not only from the dual shock 2 controller, but from the awesome sound effects.
EA Sports has laid the detail on thick. Ice, snow, and sleet has never been shown in this way before. SSX does steal Cool Boarder's fighting on the slopes' concept. Only this game makes it cool. The control is tight on SSX. The Dual Analog 2 is so impressive here. This game was made for the PlayStation 2. I honestly don't believe it would have worked on any other system. Even Dreamcast. EA Sports has an instant classic on their hands, and they know it. EA is already planning an SSX 2, hopefully to hit store shelves later in 2001.
SSX is currently the best game on PlayStation 2. It's the best snow boarding game ever, and its one of the best games in recent memory period.
This is the system seller Sony needs for the PS2. Now if only Sony can make Cool Boarders this good.
