RC car video games have always been confusing to me.
An RC car is a toy that simulates a real car. So a video game that simulates a RC car, is a sim of a simulator.
It seems to me if you want to race cars in a video game simulator, you'd want to simulate real cars, but that's just me.
Obviously I'm way off on this one, because there are a ton of RC video games out there.
The classic RC Pro-AM, to more recent memory Revolt, RC Revenge, Rc Stunt Copter and the little known RC de Go all on PSone.
Acclaim did release RC revenge Pro on PS2, but once again it got little notice.

Titus is the newest game company to step up to the plate, with the PS2 release of Stunt GP.
Stunt GP takes the formula and mixes it with a touch of extreme games.
You earn more points by performing stunts, such as flips and spins.
A remote car is kinda limited to what stunts it can perform.

Stunt GP's graphics are nice. Total high-res with no pop-up.
These little cars move fast and furious with no slow down.
The tracks are many, but its too easy to flip off course.
The game is actually quite simple, as long as you do not concentrate on performing stunts.
The stunts are limited, but I think it would have been better if they would have made the stunts a button configuration like Tony Hawk.
Who cares if its unrealistic.
Exaggerate, it works for SSX tricky, it could work here.

The music is almost non existent.
Weak video game music plays in the background overcome by the other video game noises. Which aren't great either.
I don't want to leave the impression that I hate this game.
In fact I played it quite a bit.
Its not terrible, its just not great.
Its mediocre, adequate at best. Its an acceptable racer, like most RC games.
Stunt Gp would make the perfect racer for a beginner who can't handle the complexity of Gran Turismo, but is growing past Mario Kart.
It's a great renter for any racing or RC fan.
If you go into it only expecting an adequate racer, then you won't be disappointed.
If nothing else, its better than RC Revenge Pro. PlayStation 2's other RC racer.
