Gabe Logan has returned in one of the most popular games for the Playstation.
Gabe and Lian have been betrayed by their own agency, and have been infected by the Syphon Filter Virus. You'll play as both Gabe and Lian in 21 different missions to get the antidote to save their lives. Most of this game plays just like Syphon Filter 1, sneak and shoot bad guys.
(Don't forget those head shots) Some levels you'll have to not kill any soldiers and just sneak past them or stun them with a taser. (don't kill the American G.I.'s they don't know any better)
Also added to Syphon Filter is a multi-player battle arenas. With almost every character ever appeared in Syphon Filter 1 & 2. (most levels and characters have to be opened by playing the game) This is great but doesn't beat Medal of Honor or Goldeneye.
The levels are fantastic, most are large and extremely challenging.
There's over 20 weapons to find and use on your enemies; hand guns, machine guns, shotguns, sniper rifles, grenades, crossbow, flame thrower and even that air taser that fries your enemies.
The Graphics are about the same as Syphon 1, and the FMV looks just as bad.
The control works well, but the only complaint is the first person aiming could have had a little easier control. The sound works well, though the voice acting can be at times a little blah.
Syphon Filter 2 also added more blood, and enemies now aim for your head as well.
Gabe and Lian also have danger bars that warn you when a head shot might take place.
overall Syphon Filter 2 is a great action shooter and espionage game, but it could have taken more steps on out doing the first Syphon Filter with sharper graphics and the FMV.
