TACTICS OGRE

I've played other Strategy RPG's like Final Fantasy Tactics and Vandal Hearts. So I gave Tactics Ogre a try. I must its vary good. I feel it's in between FFT & VH, Graphics are better in FFT, but TO has more game hours. It also has a little language in it but no blood like VH does.

It has the all the Classes of FFT (Wizards, Archers, Knights, Etc) But unlike FFT there's different classes for the Male and Female characters. It doesn't have the specials that the FFT classes had but each class has their own abilities. The translation of the dialog has a few problems but not to bad. I also noticed the same battle grounds where use over and over again, some time they change the color but it still the same.

Another great feature is the Birth signs all characters have (a little like FFT) fire, water, earth and wind. It's like this water is strong against fire characters. So you use the water sign characters against the fire sign opponents and you'll get more damage. One of the handicaps in this game is each character can only carry four items at one time. So you can have a character carry a sword, Armor, Helmet and maybe a Heal item, That's it. No Characters share the same item menus. If you didn't equip your soldier with the item you need, Your screwed.

In this game Death means Death, So if you lose any character in a battle, they are gone you lost him/her. Except for CPU controlled characters and your main hero. You lose him the games over. This game also has eight different ending, based on how you do in the game. This is a must have for fans of FFT, Vandal Hearts or Ogre Battle.
