In the future the powerful military weapon will come in a small package. A miniature robotic tank with an attitude named Tiny Tank. Tiny wants to be menacing, but his creators don't think menacing makes for good PR. The Tiny Tank project is put on hold for further development, and an attitude adjustment.
100 years later Tiny gets his chance to save the world from the very machines that were created after the Tiny Tank project. This is where the game begins. To be perfectly blunt, Tiny Tank is just a shoot 'em up game. You control Tiny in many different worlds collecting weapon upgrades and distributing massive destruction everywhere.
Tiny Tanks graphics are not ground breaking, but solid. Standard polygons in 3D environments. The main attraction in this game is the humor. Tiny Tank delivers plenty of wise cracks through out the games action. True Gex was doing that when Tiny was in training treads, but Tiny Tank has much more. FMV that will have you rolling out if your seat, and awesome futuristic robot radio stations you can tune in during your combat raids.
Tiny controls great. Consistent fire power combined with jumps rolls, total 360 degree views. Dual shock controller offers the player a much more bumpy ride. The sound is great, but Tiny does seem to mumble the same ol' phrases which does become a little redundant. However, before Sony took over the Tiny Tank game, MGM had him speaking virtually nonstop. So it is an improvement. Tiny Tank is much more than just an action shooter. Its the beginning of what could become a great series.
