The Twisted Metal contest returns for a third time! Calypso will grant the wish the driver seeks in this new tournament. To return are Mr. Grimm, Spectre, Thumper, HammerHead (sort of), Axel, Road Kill, Warthog, Outlaw, Sweet Tooth and Minion. New comers are Club Kid, Firestarter, Flower Power and Auger. And bosses Darkside & Primeval. In levels D.C., L.A., Hangar 18 (originally Area 51), North Pole, Egypt, Tokyo, London and Calypso's Blimp. How does this Car Combat compare? Good and bad I'm afraid. From TM2 the graphics look a loot better, and TM3 has some great characters. Spectre's new Viper GTS and Sweet Tooth looks better then ever. The only characters that look worse is Mr. Grimm's new alien look and HammerHead driven by some little old lady. The backgrounds are again some look spectacular others look like a cheap imitation of other car combat games. Most of the levels are small, the only really large level is London. And they cut the Chicago level, maybe a secret code opens it? Only time will tell. The new TruPhysics they added really mess with the control, I flip over so many times I spend half of the game on my roof. Another BIG complaint is the drivers endings, they are short and vary dumb. All the drivers wish for the most stupidest things I ever heard of! And they all back fire on them. TM2's ending where better and more humorous. They did add plenty of cool weapons in TM3 and secret ones only found on certain levels. Personally I feel this game was rushed to compete with V8 and Rogue Trip. I think they should have held back a couple months to add more larger levels and tons of secrets. TM3 is a fun game to play, it just isn't the best Car Combat game.
