Sega arcade fans celebrate, Virtua Striker 2 has come home. Sega's arcade soccer game has found its way to the Dreamcast for a perfect arcade translation. Virtua Striker 2 makes the game of soccer fun and under 10 minutes. Sega wants you to make as many goals as possible in the time allowed. Forget the rule book, just score. Much like Sega's Bass Fishing game, do the best you can in the time allowed. Only the Dreamcast version doesn't take quarters. Graphics are fast, fluent, vibrant colors right out of the arcade.
We're talking about an arcade which came out before the Dreamcast did, so do not expect NFL 2K graphics here. True Sega Arcade graphics. Which is nothing to be ashamed of, but now considered outdated.
Awesome play by play and ambitious music get the mood flowing.
The control is translated perfectly onto the Dreamcast controller.
Sega's Virtua Striker 2 is the perfect game to bring out the soccer fan hidden inside all of us. Its easy, it plays well, and its a hole lot of fun. For the more experienced soccer fan Virtua Striker 2 can be set for longer times and difficulty. Think of it as the NFL Blitz of soccer....with out the violence.
