WWF fans rejoice. Not only do we get WWF action on a weekly basis from UPN on Thursday nights. We have a great new video game from the makers of WWF War Zone to play. WWF Attitude from Acclaim is now available for both N64 and Playstation.
The graphics have improved ten fold from WWF War Zone. Acclaim has revamped their gaming engine to focus on better realism and detail in the wrestlers likeness. They have taken polygons on to next level. The new advanced Create-a- wrestler feature which was a major selling point for War Zone is far more detailed. You can chose from different eyes, noses, lips, body types, and so much more. All to help you customize your own wrestler. Once your wrestler is born, you can play him in career mode and watch him rise to become king of the ring.
Better quality music and sound is also a plus. Each featured WWF star has his/her own voice giving their opponents plenty of WWF Attitude.
Attitude has added wrestler intros. Now the game mimics your favorite WWF stars custom strut to the ring. This is where you realize how lifeless polygons really are.
WWF Attitude pretty much mimics War Zone's control. Its still the combo system, but it seems a little easier to perform.
WWF Attitude features for the first time a Create-a-Pay-per-View section. So instead of paying $29.95 to watch a big match, you can create one. WWF Attitude is rated T (teen) for some mild language and some subject matter. This can be turned on or off under options.
WWF Attitude is still the best overall wrestling game on the Playstation. In fact between Attitude 64, the Playstation version once again is just a touch better. For you N64 owners who just want a great wrestling game WCW/NWO Revenge is still the reigning champ. That's not to say that WWF Attitude isn't fun, but if you didn't like War Zone, Attitude will not convert you.
